The day was held together most impressively (as usual!) by Gary, Julia, Jack, Ian, Eric and Simon - and more. There were movies, food, drink, a game, a quiz, the Kneesy-Earsy-Nosey World Championship, sales stalls, a raffle, toasts and great companionship. Huge thanks and congratulations are well deserved. It was excellent.
You’re Wanted on the Phone
In an ingenious variation of television’s Deal Or No Deal, Bill Bailey of the Chickens Come Home Tent won a fortune.
The Eric Woods Quiz
For the second time running, the quiz was won by a team from the Beau Chumps Tent, comprised of Mike, Patrick and Sara.
Kneesy-Earsy-Nosey World Championship
This year’s winner of the prestigious title of Champion was Rosie Bell of the Leave ’em Laughing Tent.
A major part of this year’s Laurel and HarDay was celebrating the fact that this was the 30th such event, with lots of reminiscing and a couple of great videos in which Norman Leigh, Eric Woods, Ian Parker and Gary Winstanley looked back in two sessions entitled “Open University”. We had a swell time - raising a remarkable £165.79 for the Chumps 2022 charity, Cancer Research U.K.on behalf of fellow Chump Andrew who will be running the Great North Run in support of this excellent cause.
