Tit for Tat Tent of Spalding

Just thought I'd update you on my new tent. We have had two meetings so far and had a reasonable turnout - ten at our last meeting.

Although we are in Lincolnshire, it can be a little misleading, as Lincolnshire is a big county. We hold our meetings in Spalding which is quite south of Lincoln, lower Lincolnshire. And we also are quite close to Cambridgeshire.

We meet every 2nd Tuesday evening of the month,
7:30 - 10:30 at The Consti Club, 11 Broad Street, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 1TB.

Calling Sons Entertainers for UK Convention

Following on from the superb Sons Entertain line-up last year in Birmingham, I am once again inviting Sons to put themselves forward for this year.  We clearly have some incredible talent amongst us, that would rival any Royal Variety Show.

So, if you can sing, tell a joke, play an instrument, tap dance, juggle, or do anything else entertaining, let me know. I just need to know what type of act it is, and if it has a title.

Contact me directly on my email:
j.ullah42@outlook.com

I look forward to hearing what's on offer this year!

Fez o rama.jpg

Fez offer

Twice a year -  in January and June, for Babe and Stan's birthdays - Fez-O-Rama offers their "official" Sons of the Desert fezzes. They are very nice, with the "Sons of the Desert" printing and sunrise embroidery VERY ACCURATE in matching the film-used fez design. Their standard model is $66 and is a maroon "tiger stripe" material that is Fez-O-Rama's trademark material (pictured in the attached "Fez-O-Rama fez" photo). The "Deluxe" model is $83, and made on a solid color material that is more accurate to the film. (Shipping adds about $14 for both in the U.S.)

You can select the color of the tassel you'd like - the "russet" (or perhaps red) is the color closest to the one used in the film (based on original film-used original fezzes now in private collections.

Fez-O-Rama's site has all the details on how to order the custom-made fezzes. Act now, you must order by January 19 or wait until the mid-June "Stan's Birthday" offering. Here's the link:

Another Fine Fest, Ulverston

Did you know?

When Roy Castle’s widow Fiona donated some of Roy’s possessions to help promote the charity he set up, there were found to be bowler hats, biographies of Laurel and Hardy and pictures of Roy at the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston.
