website launched
2026 Int conv.jpg

As the acting Captain of the S.S. Prickly Heat, that is, the Chairman of the 24th International Sons of the Desert Convention in beautiful San Diego. I am delighted and proud to announce the launch of our 2026 Convention website! The address is www.sonsfestsd2026.com or alternately, www.laurelandhardysd2026.com.

An immediate tip of the Derby to my co-chair, David Webb, who brought this fantastic site to life from scratch! At last you're using my brains! Excellent job, David! This also means that the registration form is immediately valid and we are ready to take forms snd payments. Read the entire form well and carefully.

The full convention package is available for the special "early to bed early bird" price of $400 USD, and is good through January 15, 2026. Forward from that date will see an increase. We also are offering partials: day passes and evening passes for Southern California locals who may not be able to attend the entire program. That way, everybody can attend a part of the mirth and merriment and not have to miss out! A win-win for everybody!

PayPal payments are also an option so No one will feel like they have to wait to register. I will contact the Legacy and ask them to commence room reservations beginning July 1st. We urge all of you to do us and yourselves a favor by registering EARLY. The sooner we have revenue in hand, the better we can make our four days together. Our memorabilia and special Logo shirt sales will continue as supplies last, plus donations and tent sponsorship of events are always welcome!

To sweeten the deal to encourage early registrants, I am going to offer a little thank you prize to the first fifty (50) persons who register for a FULL convention package. Do you pledge to attend the 24th International convention in San Diego? Say I Do. Whole heartedly unanimous! We look forward to seeing all of you! ME TOO! In the words of our dear Stan, God bless!
