Steve Wichrowski RIP

Steve Wichrowski, staple of many Sons conventions, passed away on 20th February at the age of 83. Not only was he a most devoted member of the Laurel And Hardy community, his acts of kindness and friendship were incredible.
Back in the 1990’s, Steve made a trip to the Berkshires to see me in a show I was directing and appearing in. He didn’t let me know he was coming, he just travelled by bus to get there.
Yes, he was quite a character but his passion and devotion to what he cared about was evident and I’m going to miss him.
I hope he will be remembered by Laurel and Hardy fans at the upcoming convention.
To you Steve - one for you and one for the Desert.

The San Diego convention committee joins Sons everywhere in mourning the loss of our old pal, Steve Wichrowski, Jr. Until recently, Steve was one of the International convention perfect attendees and a long time reporter for Nutty Nut News. RIP old pal and say hi to Guido.

I first met Steve almost fifty years ago when he was a very special guest at an early meeting of the Bonnie Scotland Tent in Glasgow. He made a lasting impression and we were to meet again often, at International Conventions, European Conventions and UK Conventions. We have lost a real "character".
RIP, Steve.
