Sad news about our "Exhausted Ruler", David Barker. His family have asked that we let Tent members know that David died in the early afternoon of Saturday 19th September, in the Nursing Home where he had been a resident for some time.

 

David and Daphne set up our One Good Turn Tent in November 1995 and in total he came to 242 Tent meetings during his membership. This is the highest attendance of anyone and likely to be a record that won't be broken.

 

He had become quite immobile in his later years and was no longer able to come to meetings comfortably, although he did manage to get to the Christmas dinner in 2023 which was his final meeting.

 

When I have funeral details I will let those who knew him know personally and post details here for any of his old L&H buddies who may have fond memories.
