Voodoo RIP
We are very sorry to have to report the death of Voodoo, popular member of the Flying Deuces Tent in the USA and a regular attendee at conventions.
We give here a few of the many fond tributes which have been pouring in, for a great Son of the Desert, who will be sorely missed.
He was quite a character. I had the pleasure of going to his house and in the basement of his house I listened to about 15 different musicians playing a lot of British pop music. I was not so keen on his tour of his house to see his firearms!
RIP Voodoo.

I am sorry to hear this news of Voodoo but not surprised by it. He had been unwell for a very long time. Like Roger I will always remember the evening in his basement listening to his band. We were driven to his house by Irv Hyatt who sadly is also no longer with us. For his English friends, Voodoo played The Stones, The Beatles, The Who and The Kinks music to make us feel at home.

Am saddened to hear of the passing of Allan Deraney aka Voodoo. My dad and I first met him at the Düsseldorf 2001 European convention. With us being from Liverpool he spoke of his fond memories of meeting Chris Coffey in America. A character to say the least, he will be missed.

So sad to hear of the passing of Allen Deraney, known as Voodoo. A lovely man who will be much missed at gatherings.

Shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of my good friend Voodooy. Grateful for the wonderful times we had during Sons of the Desert conventions. Gone but never forgotten. RIP my dear friend. Hope we'll meet again someday, somehow, somewhere... over the rainbow.

My condolences to all members of the Flying Deuces Tent of New Jersey on the passing of one of the Sons of the Desert's great characters Voodoo, Al Deraney. From all of us at Jitterbugs Ireland. RIP pal.

Voodoo stayed with me on a couple of occasions, when I picked him up from the airport and we travelled to conventions together. I never had the chance to visit him in the states, pity.
I once took him on the train to Liverpool, to do the Beatles taxi tour. He was a hugely knowlegable fan, and this was his second taxi tour.
He was almost unrecognisable in the last photo I saw of him. At least his suffering is over now.
