The saga of the Angora Love soundtrack

 Mike Jones reports

With the imminent release of Flicker Alley’s ‘Laurel and Hardy Year Three’, we learned a while ago that the surviving Angora Love soundtrack was both compromised and the available elements with it added were badly degraded.

However, Original Chump and avid collector Gary Dent, has a set of un-played soundtrack discs and loaned them to Serge Bromberg the producer of the restorations.

Gary and I have seen and heard the result - it is quite wonderful - and you will see these yourself when your copy of 'Year Three' lands. In the meantime, here's a link to the tale of how the soundtrack was reunited with the restored print.

The story includes Abbey Road Studios where Stan and Babe recorded their only commercial disc in 1932, and I hope you enjoy it
