After many years of passion, love, and dedication, Wolfgang Günther and his wife Vera, founders of the unique Laurel & Hardy Museum in Solingen, have decided to slow down a little. Time is catching up, and with the inevitable aches and pains that come with it, they have chosen to hand over the torch to new enthusiasts within the next two years.
Their dream would be to integrate their extensive collection into a real “German Laurel & Hardy – Dick und Doof Museum.” Perhaps an existing museum could create a new department for it - it would be ideal for a kind of film museum. If anyone has an idea, please get in touch!
Therefore, the entire contents of the museum are now being offered for sale at an honest price - absolutely everything that has been lovingly and carefully collected over the years:
• An impressive collection of books, photographs, and memorabilia,
• Numerous original autographs,
• And many more valuable items — far too many to list.
The museum is located in a rented building known as Walder Kotten, at Locherstrasse 17, 42719 Solingen.
