Saps are 25 years young
25th Anniversary 1(1).jpg

After the Saps at Sea tent was launched in October 1998, the founders, Roger Robinson and Paul Allen, wondered whether the Southend-on-Sea tent would last 25 days. Well it certainly has, because at our October meeting at the Royal Naval & Military Club, we celebrated our 25th Anniversary.

Grand Sheik Ray Dempsey, arranged a memorable meeting. Norman Leigh was a special guest and performed his live ‘Storming Norman’ act. In addition there were cakes galore, a grand raffle and, of course, plenty of laughter. We are now looking forward to the next 25 years.
